Red Nose Day

We certainly had some fun for Comic Relief 2013!!
Everyone made an effort and wore a funny hat or had mad hair for the day.
We ended the day with a little disco in the hall.

Well done for raising money for Comic Relief, Class 6!!

Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant

Da iawn, Dosbarth 6!!

We had a lovely St David's Day!
You sang Hen Fenyw Fach Cydweli so well!!

A BIG 'Da Iawn' to Shannon, Taylor and Luke for their recitation of Crwydro - that was so difficult to judge. Well done to you all for trying so hard to learn the poem.

The standard of Handwriting and the Art was very high this year - again making the judging a very tough task. So 'Ardderchog' to you all :-)

Handwriting - 1st Tamzin Phillips, 2nd Logan Daddow, 3rd Chloe Dunn/Dylan Edwards
Art - 1st Jade Jones, 2nd Tia McGowan 3rd Jake Pritchard Holmes

Bendigedig!!!

Maths Detectives!!

On Thursday, we were very lucky to have a Techniquest Maths Workshop. It was great fun and we covered so much maths in just one hour!!

We had to work out who stole the X-Cubes, by listening to all the clues and using our knowledge of maths to work out the answers. Once we had collected all the information, we then had to work out who committed the crime!

Well done, Class 6 ...... you solved it! Great Maths Detective Work!!

Our New Bean Bags!!!

The children in Class 6 seem to be delighted with the arrival of the new bean bags!

It is hoped that the class library area will be a bright, colourful and enjoyable place to be.

Don't forget to bring in photos of yourselves reading in weird and wonderful places! :-)

Happy Reading, Class 6!

The boys certainly look very comfortable!!

Don't fall asleep now, Caitlin!!

Space Music!

Continuing with our topic of  Tomorrow's World, class 6 have been exploring 'space' music!

We have listened to different pieces of music, including one by Vangelis which was inspired by the Moon Landings. :-)

Look at us doing our 'moon walks'!

Our 1960's Presentations

This week we completed our presentations on different aspects of life in the 1960's. The children worked so well together, researching things like music, fashion, transport, toys and major events. They learnt many facts which they shared with the class. Well done, Class 6!
