Mr Francis set a creative writing competition for the the children in the Juniors. The winner came from our class. Well done Bradley. He won £25!

Easter - Decorated Egg Winner

Innovate - Mission to Mars - Numeracy Rich

We have been selected to be the pilot for the Mars mission to retrieve Mars Bars for desperate, hungry teachers.

Our first task is to decide what we will take with us.

Abacus - N15 - Multiplying by 10 and 100

To times by 10 you need to move the numbers along 1 column and add 1 zero. If you times by 100 it moves along two columns.

Abacus - N14 - Common Multpiles

Today in Maths we Have been learning about common multiples.  Common Multiples are numbers that are in more than one times table. 

A way you can work it out is times the two numbers for example 2 x 3 = 6 so all the numbers in the 6x table are common multiplles of 2 and 3.

Today we are attempting to video our documentary on the first moon landing. 

The groups are rehearsing their parts in the video. 

The austronaughts are rehearsing their interview questions, the scientists are rehearsing the piece of text that they are going to be saying on camera and the reporters are rehearsing their news articles. 

The bloggers have been filming them while they do this to ensure the quality is good enough.

Day 2

The scientists are finding facts out about the moon sun and earth. And practicing reading them in a documentary style.

The presenters are finding out which newspaper article they wrote is the best. They are then going to practice presenting them in a news report style.

The austronauts and reporters are writing questions to ask each other for when they do their interview. They are then going to practice asking and answering the questions in role in an interview style.

We are finding out what people are doing then blogging about it.

The presenters are reading newspaper articles for their newspaper article.

These are the scientists they are looking at the science books.

The astronauts are writing and rehearsing questions.

We are updating the class blog.
