Best work- mathematics

Today in Class 6 we have done a maths assessment.

The questions were quite tricky but some people found it easy. 

This is the KS2 Mathematics Assessment we completed today.

 We do assessments for our teacher, Mr.Hughes, to see where we are in our work.

   

We do assessments at the end of the term for English, Maths and Topic. In the test there is work we have done during the term. 

We had numerous sheets of maths to do when in the process.

We also do assessments after every unit in maths.

Big Writing Assessment - Balanced Arguments

Eleanor Heaslip's balanced argument and Roman Russell's work:

Every term we write in our best work and we need to show how neat we can write and also show how much our writing has improved.    

In dosbarth 6 we are doing balanced arguments. This week it's about school uniform and whether it's a good idea to wear it.

My opinion was we shouldn't wear it beacouse kids should express themselves.

We had to write 5 or 6 paragraphs.

English Skills - Grammar - Connectives

After our Big writing last week, we are trying to write sentences using complex connectives that will help with up-level this week. 

Here are a few of our sentences:

'Animal testing saves lives, on the other hand, it can kill animals.' Gethin.

'Animal testing is bad for animals, for instance, scientists don't knowing much pain the animals are feeling.' Kelly-Ann.

'I think animal testing is bad however it may help people if they are sick.' Amber

Big Write - Balanced Arguments

We have been researching arguments for and against animal testing. Today we are writing a balanced argument about it. In our balanced arguments we need to include an introduction to the topic, arguments for both sides then a conclusion that states which side of the argument we are on. 

Abacus - S7 - Co-ordinates

Today in our math lesson we were learning about co-ordinates we had to find the co-ordinates by going along  the corridor and up the stairs . We had to plot co-ordinates to make make a picture , the picture was a plane . By Kelly-Ann 

Abacus - S6 - Rotations

Today in class 6 we have been doing work on rotations. We have had to draw shapes and then rotate them 180 degrees, for example if you had a square and rotated it 180 degrees it would be the same. However, if you had a triangle and rotated it 180 degrees it would be upside down.

At the bottom we had to draw a shape and rotate it 3 different ways, for number 10 you had to turn the shape 90 degrees, 180 degrees and 270 degrees. For number eleven we had a different shape we had to rotate it 90 degrees, 270 degrees and 360 degrees and so on with the next question.
